MEET ERIN
I am a Certified Integrative Nutrition Counselor (Institute for Integrative Nutrition, 2012) with a graduate certificate in herbal medicine studies (Tai Sophia Institute, now Maryland University of Integrative Health, 2010). Having previously held roles in the social justice and education sectors, I have been working in the field of nutrition and herbal medicine since 2011 helping people to create healthier, happier versions of themselves in individual and group settings. In 2012, I expanded my role of teaching clients how to prepare healthier food to personal “healthy eating” chef, which quickly took on the bulk of my health coaching and nutrition practice, Bella Madre Wellness, LLC, the parent company of Food Love.
I initially found my way into the holistic/alternative/functional medicine field in my early twenties looking to alleviate my own lifelong digestive issues and mental health concerns and the journey completely transformed my life. Drawing on my extensive knowledge of nutrition, herbs, and health imbalances, I create individualized dietary plans and menus to optimize my clients’ health and wellness, as well as safely prepare food for a variety of health conditions and food sensitivities/intolerances/allergies. In addition, I also work closely with several other health practitioners to prepare meals according to their recommendations and food plans, including elimination diets, low-FODMAP plans, AIP (Autoimmune Protocol) plans, allergen-free, Paleo, Whole30, ketogenic diet plans, and a variety of other diet protocols. And I can prepare healthy, clean, (delicious!) food for those simply looking to eat healthier, manage weight, and/or save time!
